Dana White’s View on Connor McGregor’s UFC Return

Conor Anthony McGregor is an Irish professional mixed martial artist and boxer. He is a former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion.

Conor McGregor was born on 14 July 1988 in Crumlin, Dublin, Ireland. He is known as “ The Notorious” and is a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under John Kavanagh.

Conor McGregor has an MMA record of (21-4), (W-L).

McGregor’s UFC Return

In latest UFC News, After spending time away from the UFC, Connor McGregor announced that he would return to the Octagon on Jan 18. Fans have been excited to see the Notorious one return to the UFC, but it seems like the fans would have to wait a little while longer to see him in the Octagon.

According to UFC President Dana White, No opponent has been named and there’s no guarantee a fight will be happening on Jan 18.

Dana white said “ Yes, we are targeting that date for Conor’s return but no deals are even close to being signed,” Dana White told ESPN, In other UFC News it is speculated that Khabib Nurmagomedov is unlikely to defend his lightweight title until March 2020.

However Tony Ferguson remains the leading candidate to face Khabib Nurmagedov for the title next. So the Conor fans should not expect the Notorious one to just come back and compete for the title.

McGregor has been away from the UFC since October 2018, In his last match he got submitted by “The Eagle” at UFC 229.

While president Dana White informed us that as of now no deal is in place, A few fighters who have been speculated to be a part of Mcgregor’s return fight include Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje, although Conor Mcgregor said he wants a crack at the winner of Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz fight. The Diaz vs Masvidal fight is scheduled to collide at UFC 244.

Although according to Conor McGregor’s former promoter Graham Boylan, The Notorious one should stay out of the spotlight ahead of his return.

When asked by the Irish Mirror what he would do if he would be Conor’s present promoter he said “I would first ask him to keep his head down and stay out of the spotlight”.”

Boylan said “ It would be tough to be his promoter at the moment because he has so much money and generally the guys who carry on when they have money are out to be the best in the world.”

Many fans, critics and competitors have labelled that Conor has changed since he got money, but Graham claims that he was always the same and had an underlying respect.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for “The Notorious” one to return, a fan even postponed his wedding in order to see the return of the King to the Octagon.

According to Dana White no fight is fixed yet, but we as fans hope to see Conor Mcgregor in the ring as soon as possible, Conor is a flamboyant personality and always ends up providing a lot of enjoyment to his fans and the people watching him, and thus we eagerly await his return to The Octagon.
